I’m Keeping My Fingers Crossed

When my liability insurance agent came in for her yearly review of my business, I was beyond nervous. Usually the review resulted in some type of infraction that caused my rates to increase. I never understood why, though. Little things that you would never think of seemed to be the first thing that she noticed.

For example, last year I had a rate increase due to the fact I did not have a switchboard mat in front of my fuse box and control panel. All I could say is “A what?”

This is a mat that is designed to help prevent someone from getting shocked if they are standing on the mat. Apparently getting shocked is more common than I would have ever thought. Anyways, I made the purchase and this year it is in place. Hopefully there will not be any more infractions and my rates will remain the same for another year.
